My video entry for the Bon Jovi Loves My Town contest--Toronto deadline.
This contest gives me the chance to show the guys a town that they probably never heard of and a place that they more than likely would not have seen otherwise. Thanks for this!
Rigolet is a small community, with a population of approximately 400, located on the north coast of Labrador. The outdoors and tradition are a big part of our lives and this is shown in my video.
In my town, everybody knows each other; there are no restaurants, malls, or clubs; snow covers the ground for nearly 6 months of the year, and we go everywhere on our snowmobiles. Temperatures between -20 and -50 degrees celsius are normal for this time of the year...yes I nearly froze shooting my footage, but I really enjoyed making this video and I would do it again!
My town is small. We do not have much of a night life, however there is no such thing as traffic jams either; we don't have all that a fast paced city has to offer, but here it is like a vacation everyday as we live a simple, serene lifestyle surrounded by the beauty of Labrador.
Unfortunately our town isn't big enough for our favorite bands to stop here on tour, so I made the decision to fly to Toronto for your shows in December and you guys were AMAZING! I cannot wait to do it again!
