I used Shea moisture for the first time and I get the oposite affect. My hair feels mushy it so moisturized. I attribute it to glycerin. I live in South Florida.

I don't like the way Shea moisture smells I had to give it away. I love Harry's Law, ,NCIS original one, A couple of the characters in the LA version are annoying.

I just did a blow dry and flat iron on my hair with shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie and my hair was sooooo hard and dry too!!! it was horrible I think you can only use it when you are moisturing your hair just for twist outs or just air drying all together... not for blowing or flat ironing at all!!! I also have a love hate relationship with it...... your hair is beautiful!!!

I don't like shea moisture products either. My hair feels hard and my hair sheds like crazy.
