I have a 96 OHV sport 5 speed...not much HP, but with the manual they can get up n go pretty good for what they are. Mine has almost 200,000 miles and it'll still chirp rubber in 2nd gear with a cylinder misfiring even and 3.73 axle. Still wanna supercharge it though hehe its my toy...

It's impossible to find a explorer with a 5-speed, but im lucky i own one. :)

@dave777blaster DUMBASS FORD BUILDS ENGINES FOR MAZDA AND MORE AND THEY ARE ALL FORDS YOU FUCKING RETARDED
Its a damn good thing these explorers are more reliable than Durangos, but, I have found that the explorer in the late 90s have like 16 recalls. The 4runner has like 3, the durango has like 7 and the blazer has like 6!

@Motorfordtoyota
Explorers had their issues but IMO are a far superior vehicle than the Blazer (most vehicles are), so I wouldn't judge just based on the number of recalls. Toyota has always been very coy about avoiding recalls too, at least until recently.

Mazda did the heads on the V8 because Ford didnt know what was up and what was down on ohc models

@dave777blaster
I hope you're talking about the 4.6L because the 5.0L is a pushrod motor.
