Nice i have the same laptop and i have the disk for Kubuntu and can you get msn messanger on this?

Kubuntu comes with kopete which can do yahoo, msn, icq, irc, jabber, google talk, and several others. There are other messengers like pidgin also and amsn which trys to mimic msn messenger.

I have r61i and it is not 64 bit.

Probably we have different versions of r61i.
Do you have touchpad?

Yes I have a touchpad. Its the 15inch model. Its not the default processor either so that may have something to do with it.
