  • Thanks. Going on Monday to get out 9 screws + plate. Your vid made less scarey? Did you have to spend anytime non-weight bearing???

  • @jhjenn Not really. It was painful at times. I was surprised I walked around like that with the cam boot. They filled in the holes left over by the screws with bone putty.

  • Oh to make a long story short, I took a nice drop from the second floor. All my weight landed on my right foot. My weight was multiplied a couple times when I hit the ground and my ankle suffered. Gravity wasn't my friend at the time. =)

  • u might feel better know, but, what the docs dont tell you is the severe arthritis u will have eventually.i have had 2 subtalar fusions, ligaments tore and re-attached,removed bone chips and 2 4inch screws in each foot.total of 5 ankle surgeries and need ankle replacements on both.u will never be normal

  • @MrMetalheadtildeath Actually the doctors did tell me about the arthritis. A have seen different doctors for second opinions. My current doctor told me that in about twenty years I will need my ankle joint replaced. I know I will never be normal. I feel it already. I have been taking Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM dietary supplements to help with the arthritis. God willing if I'm still alive in 20 years, I'll see what's up. Sorry to hear that you are in really bad shape too man. Take it easy.. =)

  • dam man thats pretty wicked, i hope i never ever have to get surgey for breaking a bone =\ looks so painful

  • @TheHawk545 Only when you have broken bones that are healing is very painful. The screws removed and with the bone putty in, the pain is not that bad. Still painful but not as bad...
