A lot of Democrats go to the RNC because they live near it and want to experience a convention. Minnesota is a normally blue state that has recently shown some red tendencies. That's why the RNC's held there. The GOP is trying to sway Democratic voters. The Democrats did the same in Colorado (a normally red state with blue tendencies).
It's unfortunate that the hurricane may cancel some of the RNC, but our people come first. Bush and his people are doing now what they should have done with Katrina, prepare for the worst. Also, it is very fortunate that the republicans now have an excuse for cancelling all or part of the RNC. McCain has been embarrassed by his party the last 8 year & wants no part of Bush & Cheney coming to give speeches. They now have an excuse for not appearing to explain the last 8 years.
REMARKABLE, he wants to restore FAITH in our Govt yet wants someone who will vote as BUSH has and he has done so nearly 100% of the time.
As a senator McCain indeed was a maverick but as a GOP candidate he has been NOTHING but a BUSH sequel dancing like a marionette to the deafening desolate strains of the GOP !
What Americans need to be aware of is that the oil companies are raking in billions of dollars in growing record profits due to a tone-def Republican Party.
Alaska, being oil-rich, profits tremendously from the tax policies put in place by Sarah Palin.
These profits come from YOUR pocket - then she redistributes them to her residents.
She is HEAVILY influenced by big oil - only a fool would say otherwise.
We have ALL felt the pain of the past eight years of a failed Republican economy.
You got that right, someone seen the light
