And the song is called "Lonesome Robin".
The song i've had on LP (not tape) and try to interpret is by "Inchiquin", recorded on "The 4th Irish Folk Festival - On The Road" in 1977.

Well done. Yours is the best version I've found on YouTube. I've loved the song for years, ever since I heard Helen Schneyer sing it on A Prairie Home Companion. I eventually found her CD that contains the song, but, unfortunately, I can't remember the title right this minute. Thank you so much for singing and posting this. I've downloaded it, I enjoyed it so much.

I play it with capo on second fret but only A to e string. Not the deep E string.

So I got something like a dropped D tuning but it sounded in E key.

The chords are:

D, e7, G, A.

Normaly is skip those videos because a lot of people think they can sing but what you hear is scary.... its like those "superstar casting shows" where a lot of people think they can sing.
