For the first time in the new millenium Princeton and Syracuse would not be in the National Championship as Virginia and Johns Hopkins would face off. It would be the Cavaliers of Virginia winning 9-7 for the NCAA Men's Lacrosse National Championship. This would be the first time in almost a decade that neither team scored double digit goals and the lowest scoring game in almost two decades.

  • UVA goalie Tillman Johnson's play throughout the Final Four weekend has to be some of the best ever for a goalie. That save he has at :47 is one that not many other goalies in history could have come close to making.

  • I'm so glad i still have UVA's games from the final 4 taped on VHS. Because Tillman Johnson was absolutely insane. Wish i was 1/10,000th as good as he was.
