Neang Ptel Meas

This Thai Boran Series was released in the late 80s. It is about a Queen who gave birth to a baby, but turned out to be just a Golden Cup, which also became her name. She was force to leave the palace due to superstitious belief that the Golden Cup will bring bad luck. It turns out that the Golden Cup lives a kind-hearted a beautiful princess. She has the power to go in and out of the Golden Cup. The Golden Cup made it's way to another kingdom who lives a handsome prince. It was loved at first sight when he saw the Golden Cup. Later he finally had the opportunity to meet the Princess who lives in there. One day on their way to enjoy the nature fields, she encountered a Giant (Yak) who end up switching her body and pretend to be the Princess and making Golden Cup unable to speak. Golden Cup is left alone out in the wilderness. She encountered many obstacles and people along the way.

cant be in the late 80's becuase thier clothes and hair look like it from the early 80's or late 70's. unless its channel 3 then that would make more sense. is it channel 3 or channel 7?

Yes, thank. Dear friend recommended to me. Fairly easy to follow, though I don't speak Khmer. Audio is not so good, and childrens' voices are *quite annoying* (lol) for first few hours. Once I made it past that, it was a lovely story. I cry just before they were to execute Ptel Meas, and when she is in home of old people and Prince sense her presence but can't hear or see her. (lol Okay I'm too sensitive.) Lovely story and well worth watching! I may post that song too! Thank you!

One of my favorite old thai series, after Neang Keo Nama Thida Mok Ses. I have still have parts of this movie in vhs...I should dig it up and watch it again :)

oh yea then i see why thier clothes look like that. becuase channel 7 clothes and hair style around the mid 80's to late 80's look more up to date.
