My water heater pilot light went out one day, and I had to figure out how to fix it. Turned out that the thermalcouple went bad, and had to replace it. It was only 6 bucks. Im sure im not the only sucker this happens to. Hope it helps someone. Enjoy!

  • Thank you :)

  • @WpgLwr007 Are you sure? Because I just spoke to the manufacturer of my Water Heater and they told me that the spark arrestor needs cleaned and theyre sending me a cleaning kit... I dont know exactly what it is I just hope I can fix it fast

  • @stopwhining1 You have to change the thermocouple -- the metal part he's talking about. It's shutting itself down for safety. I'm here because I have the same exact problem you're talking about. You can also Google "Replace Thermocouple - (Brand name of your heater)" to find the manual. City Wide Water Heaters here in Winnipeg left a "manual" when they installed tank, but it tells you nothing at all -- so that if you have a problem you have to call them -- ought to be a law against that.

  • My water heater does exactly what happens at the end of this video... the pilot lights up, then I turn the temperature up and the "stove" catches fire.. but the problem is that it ALL goes out after about 20 min.. I keep having to re-light the pilot and turn the temperature up.. whats the problem here?

  • your the man !!
