  • I have a car that has been sitting for a while, it runs great when you keep lots of gas in it but when it gets down to about a 1/4 tank it starts stalling and missing.Any suggestions, thanks.

  • @kaylopmackinnon1 pull that tank off and have it steam cleaned, it's clogged up at the bottom

  • Hey Scotty, I want to lower my car and had an idea of cutting my strut springs. My 2002 subaru wrx has struts front and rear.. can I remove the springs and just cut 1 ring off from the top to lower and would that work fine? only looking to drop it about 2 inches.

  • @KFLY67 don't do it. that destroys the handling of the car, and can even lead to transmission failure. I've seen it too many times.

  • I detailed cars for a while, and whenever one was getting detailed I always pressure washed the engine. It was a requirement during details, some of the cars that I detailed were brand new expensive cars like Mercedes Benz's, BMW's, Audi, Infiniti's and more. These cars had alot of electronics in them and they never had any problems after cleaning. The trick is to use as little water as possible. You don't soak the engine you move the pressure gun across swiftly.

  • @suddnstar yes, pros who clean cars for Anal rich people should know what they're doing. The average Joe should NEVER spray water in an engine compartment.

  • @Dotchetter no, it isn't good, that's just how you do it, I assumed you wanted to know. Scotty

  • @CBRRiderr you are a moron, don't give advice. all modern cars have tons of electronics you can ruin.

  • @Harmonlisa we have those, the technicians Im working with don't use it to save time.

There is a cheap battery back up you can buy that hold the memory when you change batteries. You would think the Honda place would have know that.

  • I used to change batteries at Honda with the engine running, because of that stupid radio code and the alarm would never shut up. Guess I'm not doing that again.

  • A dirty engine bay keeps the car from leaking. sometimes dirt is good!

  • @scottykilmer I completely agree with you.
