Originally recorded by Little Willie John, this song is most popularly recognized through Peggy Lee. She is known to have improvised the song with her own lyrics by referring to famous romantic duos as Romeo & Juliet and Captain Smith and Pocahontas. Definitely a well covered song, even by Elvis himself, I had to of course put in my two cents ;) I remember my friend Tania requesting me to cover it ages ago and I randomly chanced upon it recently and decided why the hell not. Just a simple one-take recording! Always loved the jazzy R&B tones to this song and many others, I see it as the kind of music I can only dream to perform live. That Bass! Can't not snap your fingers to it! :)
