i agree with you that shaun white is indeed amazing but snowboarding is about moving on and getting new tricks done and the fact that they gave him a hundred basically says that snowboarding cant go further than this.

It doesn't matter how ridiculous the trick is, or for that matter what your opinion is, the X Games Judges dock points for sloppy landings, and in this case they just did not do that.

A perfect score should not be given to anything unless it is just that, perfect. The word is defined as something that cannot be improved upon, which is not true in this case.

Not taking anything away from Shaun, the guy is a fucking machine. Which is partially why I am sure he would agree: he can do better.

the thing is that that exact run the next year wont be a 100... yes snowboarding will continue to progress and as it progresses that run will no longer be a perfect score look at this year he had an even BETTER run than this and he DIDNT touch a finger on the pipe, and got more air and only scored a 98

This is entirely incorrect information. Are you saying a score of 95 in 1995 would be the same as a score of 95 in 2013? A perfect score means the judges believe this is a perfect run for the time it's ran. It has nothing to do with the future.

No they're not. There can be other 100 scores, this is just acknowledging that this was an amazing run.

fuck u. x games is full of bullsht and about money. shaun is just a big icon and money making machine for x games. hes best pipe rider atm , but who wouldnt be with own pipe and sled ride. shaun knows nothing about true snowboarding and looks like you dont either. on a side note. touching the ground should deduct your score, if he didn't touch the wall he would of fell . if judges just award points for media publicity then it becomes boring and predictable
