Weird that the bonus catchphrase is called the super catchphrase, while in the UK version, the super catchphrase is called 'a bonus catchphrase' whilst the final round is called the 'super catchphrase'.
That's probably because the scoring system in this version allows so few opportunities to score (only on the bonus); whereas in England, you scored on every catch phrase.
Here, you could make every toss-up but one, then your opponent takes the last toss-up, the bonus and all the money. How fair is that to the guy who did so well with the toss-ups?
You may get your wish. CBS is planning for a fall-2010 debut as well as "$1,000,000 Pyramid" to fill in for "As the World Turns". Doubt that they'll use that 80's theme.
I remember this as a kid on a CBS station either in North Carolina or from Roanoke when I was in Galax, VA at the time. It came on at 12noon. It was great, the pyramid, PYL, TPIR and this show. My grandmother then watched all her CBS soaps in the afternoon. What great memories.
At 0:46, is this a diamond pattern screensaver thingy, that's located on the left side of the 2 contestants??

@cupcakefairy87 and Roy Walker never called them a "TOSS-UP CATCHPRASE"
even though I think he should have.

I LOVED watching this on days I had no school in my earlier months of 10th grade.

Wonder how this show would have done if Roy Walker from the UK Catchphrase was available to host?
