super mario galaxy video review (part 1 of 2)

this is my video review of nintendo's game "super mario galaxy", meant as a companion to my text review, which is located here:

i got a lot of angry mails about that review, telling me that i have soul cancer, that i was clearly gay, or that i deserve to die, or whatever, so i thought i would make a very straightforward video illustrating what i meant when i said the game is too "talky".

seriously, we used to rent games like METROID when we were SIX YEARS OLD, and before returning the games we'd have gotten NOWHERE, and we'd still tell all our friends three years later "man metroid is AWESOME". now nintendo is basically in the business of making interactive instruction manuals, and quite frankly, i find it creepy.

please forgive the guy operating the camera for trying (and failing) to say something "funny" like two or three times -- i really didn't want to try to make this "funny". i just wanted it to be straightforward, and, well, kind of depressing.

so yeah :-/
