Nice how to video, although we went with you all the way thru the build and you never showed firing it up or gas production. The few seconds of static of an engine run was totally anticlimactic. I was looking forward to watching you fire it all up. two questions, 1. If you aernt supposed to let it run out of fuel who do you stop it from generating gas? 2. If you have the tube full of pellets how do you light the burner? thanks
My fluidyne had some leaks on first firing and a loss of gas production after an hour or so, so I did a tear down which was very helpful in understanding what was happening and at what point in the process. It may be helpful to you.
Nice job, however, may I suggest that you don't garab the heat from your burner barrel but from further down stream perhaps in the radiator/cooler area. You want to keep as much heat in the burner as possible to maximize gas production. Heat is what causes the chemical magic to create the burnable gas. Shaking the grate will help greatly with keeping the airflow through the system at a rate high enough to produce the hottest temp in burner. I'm subscribing to your channel, check out my vids.
Good job, your video presentation of "How To" is the best I've found so far. A tripod would be a good investment for further videos. please post any modifications or updates.
pellets are not an economical solution for power. you need fuel around 1/2 cubed sized when running a 4 inch tube. and bridging seams to be a standard problem with fema's for some reason unless you're shaking the whole thing.

I'd be interested to know how your project is coming along??? How big is your shop? Is it insulated? Did the unit end up being able to heat it?
