What's funny is that the comment she deleted said that her music shouldn't be labeled, but when I bought the CD, it's under the "general jazz" genre when the ID3 tags are read.

When I say "tree," each of us has a different picture in mind. Thus, every word is a label, every language a Frankenstein of labeling. The act of human communication could not exist otherwise - nor could song lyrics. Should people not talk about your music? But if they do, language requires words to describe things efficiently.
