Summer in Poland and Ukraine

SUMMER IN POLAND AND UKRAINE

It's been nearly twenty four years since the boys in green were there
and in the play offs now more disappointment we did fear
but after only thirteen minutes, our fears were put to rest, when up stepped Keith Andrews stuck it in the net

CHORUS: We might be playing Germany, Italy or Spain but at least we'll spend our summer in Poland and Ukraine and even if we're beaten we can be proud of ourselves to have gone and reached the finals of Euro 2012

Being only one goal to the good the nerves were pretty bad to lose again in Europe would have driven us all mad
but then Walters got the ball and knew just what to do, he struck it past the keeper and brought us up to 2

CHORUS: We might be playing Germany, Italy or Spain but at least we'll spend our summer in Poland and Ukraine and even if we're beaten we can be proud of ourselves to have gone and reached the finals of Euro 2012 The party really started then they played out of their skin the boys in green were there for nothing less than the win and after only a few minutes it was a sight to see, when Robbie put the boot in and brought us up to three

The game was nearly over and we were all on air, they lost two men through fouls but
we really didn't care, the ref blew for a penalty we willed Robbie to score and he cooly beat the keeper and brought the score to four
