EEEEEKKKKKK!!
For the first time in 5 weeks, thats 35 days (not that i've been counting) i rode Louie!! Possibly the most exciting thing that has happend since christmas!! So as people know, 5 weeks ago today i broke my collarbone which was a massive setback for me. I haven't actually been given the thumbs up to ride yet but it feels as good as new (touch wood) and didnt hurt at all when i rode. I have an xray on monday so hopefully they will give me the go ahead to ride, even though i already have, lol! I was actually grinning from ear to ear when i walked him back in, god it was such a good feeling!! Obviously my riding looks absoloutely shocking but it felt so so odd, but the more i do it the better it will get! Its was such a relief to be back him as everyone that had ridden him, he had reared off (due to different things) So i am now looking forward to a good 2012 with this amazing horse. I love him to the moon and back!!

I know im not out of the water yet as i haven't had my xray but i will keep you updated! Yes, i wore a body protector simply incase i did come off or knocked it then it wouldnt do further damage.

This song actually has some relevance as someone said to me a couple of weeks ago 'So, riding career over then?'' and it made me think, no matter how many times i fall off, break myself, hit rock bottom or reach sky high i will never ever give up with this horse, he is here for life.

Hi Lucy - you should not fish for compliments: "Obviously my riding looks absoloutely shocking" is completely wrong! You look great riding him!

That difficult horse, bucking off all other riders, feels you on his back and turns to be a good boy, easy to ride - because you are such anexcellent rider and he accepts you as partner.

You are great, lucy - and you know it!

My favourite part is that high jumping lead change at 2:12.

Was that your guidance or his idea?

@heinzstoffregen I'm no way fishing for compliments. I feel my riding was shocking in this video, thats my take on it and i know the ability i can ride to. Thankyou for your comments and yes i did ask him to change at that point, however due to him being out of practice of the flat, he felt the need to overexagerate slightly!

Lovely video nice to see you back in the saddle. I love his blue bandages, don't know why, I just do! Also just to let you know, body protectors, although very good are well known for breaking collar bones, because of how they sit, not saying you shouldnt wear it, as i broke my collar bone and i still wear mine, but just to let you know!!

this is lovely to watch how after 5 weeks you can get back on and look like you've not taken any time out of the saddle :D you ride him so nicely and i really hope your x-ray results are good :)

...i remember the feeling of being desperate to ride as i broke my collar bone but wasn't allowed on for 12 weeks as my body is shite at healing aha!! :S ...wish i could have looked that good on my first ride though ;) xxx

hey this is like my second vid i have watched of urs there really good videos i subbed :). A little while back i broke my collarbone when my horse spooked a bucked after a jump it was a really bad break but, only about 5 weeks later i got back on and did a horse camp Then that wednesday she had a really bad bucking fit and i fractured it again. But then i rode the next day haha but i was in soo much pain but soo much fun haha good luck with ur horse and now i have a huge lump on my collarbone x
