A tribute to one of the greatest but unfortunately not widely known pianists of all times. Those who had the privilege to know him and to listen to his performances will forever love and admire this hidden genius. Vladimir Bakk was born in Moscow in 1944 and died in 2007 in West Palm Beach at the age of 63.

  • Great pianist!! What subtle use of microdynamics , what a superior keyboard control at the service of expressive purposes. Those endings of phrases, really beatiful, the relevance of the melody, with soft but decise tone. Great great great pianism, and this version is among my favourites. Thank you for sharing.

  • Best version ever!!!

  • simply excellent...

  • I must confess I've never heard him before. what a shame. He plays magnificent.

  • this is my favourite performance of this piece, its clearness and control are so perfect it just puts in a state of pure relaxation, but what a pitty he's dead, such a loss

  • undoubtedly a magnificent pianist, however

the unfortunate acoustics present on this recording blur the sound and in many places

actually sound like a double note is being struck.
