Holocaust Survivor Remembers Fallen Survivor-Soldiers

Yehuda Szternfeld was born in Lodz, Poland, in 1930. In early 1940, the Jews of Lodz, including the Szternfelds, were sent to the Lodz ghetto. Yehuda's brothers and father both perished; his mother and sister were sent to Chelmno and murdered in 1942. Yehuda was sent to various camps until April 1945, when he was evacuated in a train that was liberated by American forces. After the war, Yehuda, the only surviving member of his family, immigrated to Palestine. In 1998 Yehuda launched an initiative to commemorate Holocaust survivors who fell in Israel's War of Independence.

I am disgusted by people who think there was no holocaust. If reincarnation is real, I believe I lived in the time of the Holocaust because I feel that is is so close to my heart.

There are still concentration camps today. In North Korea, all the common people suffer as much as those who were in the Holocaust. So why doesn't anyone speak of them? Will we only look at our past and not the mistakes humanity commits today?

It makes me sick that the religion I was brought up to follow (Roman Catholic) stood by, said nothing, and let this evil crime against humanity occur. In some cases even aiding Nazi Germany. I hope the RC church realises that the fallen angel has many names and disguises…The Devil, Satan, Lucifer, the Führer, Hitler…

it was not only jews it was about anybody Hitler did not approve on..and for the people that think its fake then wtf why would it be in a history book..its like saying black slaves did not exsist get a history book and learn how to read.

@jxt791 Isreal and Arabs, its far more comlacated, all the way back to the Old Testament in fact. For the Jews Isreal is thier homeland thier birth right. When any Jew from any where go to Isreal, it is a homecomeing. . My point is it has deep roots. The Holocaust was simple Germans of THAT generation killed inocent Jews and non Jews without a care.
