Great training. Our little girl Rott is 13 weeks, she's doing really well with her training too.

i have a rottweiler mixed with a german shepard and it is about 4 months old and he always bites on my shirt and shoe and he bites me, how do you train an energetic dog that only listens to you when you call it's name??? HELP PLEASE!!!

repetition and lots of love. If you dont have time to train your puppy then get a good trainer.
Good luck!!!

you really got skills, did you drill it into him or he just learned that fast??

@guyanisegangster - he's just a really smart dog. every trick he knows, he picked it up on about the 3rd time i tried a new cue. I now have an Akita pup too, shes a bit more stubborn, but is at the same level Buddah was when he was her age.

@YoungB192 - He's 3 years old now. Rottweilers are awesome dogs, just do you research.. They aren't for everyone ;)

Hey i have got a 13 week old puppy. He was brought up on a farm and lived outdoors. When i bought him at 12 weeks he had never been indoors before and he took to it straight away. I have got him 90% house trained still has the odd accident. He knows sit (i have just today started to teach him down) although he will only do it with the lure of a treat atm is that normal? also am i behind on his training? I am teaching him to walk on the lead atm aswell. How do i get him to do the other tricks?

youre not behind on his training, you can start training a puppy as early as 8 weeks.
definitely focus on leash training since rottweilers are very strong dogs when they grow up.
it is normal to have to lure your dog into correct position for at least the 10 times. depending on how fast your dog learns. just leave longer time period between your cue "down" and starting to lure him into position.and remember to only say the cue one time..
