Ricky Villa & Ossie Ardiles were legends here in UK. I rememeber when they signed up in 1978 - wouldn't be such a big story nowadays! Ardiles seemed to have a higher profile in general, but of course Rickie Villa left us with this magical memory (even though I'm not a Tottenham fan!).

Villa's carreer in England has been pretty much overshadowed, and virtually no one in Argentina remembers him as the footballer of great quality which he was. This is probably due to having spent most of his Argentinian carreer in smaller clubs (Quilmes) and provincial clubs (except for Racing between 1976 & 1978). Really unfair, as Villa was a pioneer: he played in England even during the Falklands war, and helped us to remember that both Argies and Brits were, all in all, humans.
