I AM NOT speaking on behalf of my fellow Marines.

The information I am sharing is from my experiences in the Corps. Life as a 03 (grunt) would be significantly different. I cover a few more questions about my life in the Marine Corps.

Update 4/4/2010: I made these videos back when I was in Okinawa and my friends and family wondered what I was doing and where I was.

  • I have a meeting tomorrow with a sergeant for the marine core and it's more difficult seeing how i'm a girl. I know a lot of girls don't go into the marines. But would you have any advice?

  • @dolphin9056 A lot of females are in the Marine Corps and it is NOT more difficult. That is a common misconception.

  • are you a Lcpl ?

  • @brandonironyoda1 I'm a Sergeant.

  • LOL "eat babies!" hahahah do they teach you to be funny in the Marines? xD

  • @JimmyDShea What is ur mos?

  • Aren't you a Pog? My dad fought in Afghan and HE said that you're not a grunt, because you are in Japan, so no disrespect.

  • you rock jimmy

  • Female drill instructors are tougher.

  • Respect.

  • turn the transcribe audio on it so funny

  • How much do you bench and does it matter? I'm almost underweight but can do a lot of push ups, sit ups, im working on pull ups. I run long distance and I'm number one on my highschool swim team for the 500 yard race. However the only machine I'm good at is the lat pulldown where i do about 10-20 pounds heavier than my actual weight. My benching is horrible and i hate working out and getting showed up so i just do the pushups and stuff.

  • how hard is it to get a weight waiver? i started workout at 230, i'm now 216, and my recruiter says i need to be at 193. my thing is, all this time i spend losing weight is time i could be losing weight at bootcamp

  • Don't mind the haters homes. I deployed in '07 with grunts and arty, and they are just like any other Marine you'll find in the Corps. Ignore the haters for criticizing what you do...not like you need to be highly qualified to be a grunt anyway.
