Thank you so much for posting this gem - I wanted to say something similar to what GermanOperaSinger said. Who, today, would have an artist like Martina Arroyo on a talk show? I would love for Craig Ferguson to interview any of the fine singers around today, but I am certain that the network wouldn't allow it, and that the public would mutiny...

What an absolutely gorgeous voice. She doesn't fuss.

Arroyo had a wonderful personality, and God bless Johnny Carson - he always brought great stars onto his show, not like contemporary late night hosts who only interview sluts and douchebags (well that's all we have today in the entertainment industry!)

My goodness! How talk shows have changed for the worse. Never today would anyone, especially an opera singer, be given the time of day to sing not 1 but 2 pieces to sing with an additional quality non rushed interview.
