Homemade Cinerama II

Trey and I try Cinerama at home again. We re-aligned the cameras to get a more accurate picture, without so many of those annoying triple images. We were pretty successful.

That really is very, very good. I think you'd have it totally seamless if you pointed the outer cameras inwards at an angle slightly. The American Widescreen Museum has a Cinerama page and I think they have the technical specs of the camera rig.

@Cybjon That's exactly what we did. It's just hard to align the cameras, especially when they all have different focal lengths on their lenses.

Good job! How do you watch the footage at home?! With 3 video projectors or 3 monitors?

Thanks! I wish I had 3 projectors, and someday maybe I will, but for now we have to watch it on a regular screen *sigh*. I'm hoping to someday get 3 identical cameras and build a support stand to hold all three of them so I can move the camera and do some more interesting shots. Thanks for your comment!

Well done! I tried to get three Super8 cameras and projectors that could do slave synch, but never finished it.

Excellent guys! I didn't think anyone was still interested in Cinerama especially your generation. I use to run that stuff in the 1960's. Good job. Thanks for sharing.

don't forget beamsplitters on the camera's for a Cinerama 3D effect
