Stuttering is a speech disorder overtly characterized by sound, word or phase repetitions, phoneme prolongations and postural fixations that impedes the natural flow of speech. This video demonstrates stuttering inhibition via delayed visual feedback (DVF). DVF is when the speaker who stutters produces speech while watching their visual speech gestures on a feedback monitor. By observing their visual-only gestures stuttering is inhibited from 60 to 80%.
