QGRY Chase Montreal-Buckingham Jct.

A day-long chase from Montreal to Buckingham Jct. The train was running a little late, so there was no meet at Thurso. Instead, the crew continued on to Buckingham Jct. where they dropped their cars, and then hooked up to the cars left by the Buckingham Turn, for the trip back to Montreal.

Shot on Friday August 26th, 2009.

I was told that the tracks are not up to par for passenger service anymore. The line was idle for a few years after CPR quit it. I was very happy when it began running again. I remember when 3 trains a day went through, that was 20 yrs ago. A passenger train would be good between Mtl and Gatineau.
