How you became so good in playing guitar?
-
Dani california solo at 0:45? Anyone?
-
I personally hold a pick with three phangers and my thumb is double jointed so my entire thumb grips the pick, anybody else do this?I want to meet somebody else that does this lol.
-
@The4455 First off, nowhere did Andy compare himself talentwise to the mentioned guitar players. He merely said "show you some great examples of famous guitarists who share this similar method"
Secondly... You're an idiot, if you think Andy couldn't compare himself to some of the legends of finger playing. Just listen to that small clip from 00:50 - 00:55, not to mention the wide verities of musical genre's that he can pull off.
Third... I'm still looking for YOUR finger picking video...
-
@goodguitaristatmetal so... guy who can write is more qualified to compare himself to real writers too? I believe Andy has a nice technique, but it's not enough. I guess you know why these people in the video are great players and became famous... They've created masterpieces with their unorthodox right-hand technique
-
As much as i admire this style of playing, looking at it makes me physically sick... the actual sight of it creeps me out so much
-
How to get Pat Metheny's tone,
1. Be god
That is all

If you want to master your picking technique, shave your forearm hair.
-
When you hold your thumb and index finger togheter (just like you're holding a "fake" pick) for playing chords, exactly what part of your fingers does hits the strings in both down and up strokes? Also, do you play with nails or flash? Thanks!

Allow me to answer my self: the Jeff beck song is "Led Boots" Live at Ronnie Scotts
Sorry Andy, but you can't really compare yourself to all of the guitarists you mentioned, and nice job not sayin gRobbie Kreiger when he showed up!

@rsl84416 - We were trying to focus on players with unorthodox right-hand technique, mostly of the fingerpicking persuasion.

also luther dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars and the Black Crowes...he taps his strings with his right hand.

@deadheadman66 - Yes. We actually tried to fit him into the video, but he didn't make the final cut due to time constraints. Great player though!
