Taken at the Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park, AZ (west of Phoenix) on March 12, 2008. Originally shot in 16:9. Watch closely and it's almost like the big turtle tells the medium one to go after the small one. (This is the same video I uploaded before except without the letterboxing. The new video player handles 16:9 better than when I originally uploaded these. This is also from a better quality file.)

  • what is this? The race of the turtles?

  • I figured it was more like follow the leader. ...or a lovestruck male chasing a female turtle. ...and that larger one urging the medium sized one to go for it. That doesn't really explain the shoving though.

  • Cool! The zoo map just listed them as African Tortoise. I wasn't aware of that name for them.
