Missy Elliot Suffers From Graves' Disease, Hyperthyroidism

Gravesapos; disease is trending after rapper and producer Missy Elliot revealed that she suffers from the condition. Gravesapos; disease occurs from hyperthyroidism, when too much thyroid hormone is produced, and causes rapid heart rate, insomnia, muscle weakness, and fatigue, among other symptoms. Elliot told People magazine that sheapos;s been undergoing radiation therapy to manage the disease. She recently reunited with Timbaland to work on a new album, Block Party, her first in six years. Former President George H.W. Bush also suffers from Gravesapos; disease, as does his wife Barbara.
