@vipstriptease1 ECU and airfilter in perfect condition? I recal S40's until around '97 have a crappy Siemens ECU.

@dvds4yeh ah cool ok mine is 200hp it says so on the reg document and it has t4 on the back but it doesnt seem to pull so well after 135 mph and as it was a rapid response car I thought it would be a little faster than the factory one not slower

@vipstriptease1 the t4 is 200bhp the 2.0t is 165bhp some people will tell you thay got a t4 but thay got a 2.0t

Skoda is faster, better built and better looking than any Volvo - simple as.Volvo's are ok if you are over 50 and wear a hat.

@vipstriptease1 The model called T4 should always be the 200bhp, while the 163 is called "2.0T".

Ah ok I have an ex police T4 supposed to do 150 but to be honest after 135 it doesnt pull ..could it have been detuned in some way??

Probably you mean "mph" as I understand. It can be caused from too many negative reasons you know nothing possible to say certainly. If you see the engine check light be sure that car is working in -safe mode-. If not checkt the turbo pressure and all the ignition system I mean sparks, spark plug cables etc... On the other hand fuel pump must be in condition to feed the high rewing engine, we had that problem with the fuel pump.
