This splash r&d shows great advances in our high-speed photography style macro splash work. For these splashes we developed an improved way of getting tendrils to come off the edges of the flows and behave in a more realistic way. We're also able to get control over the scale of tendrils, in particular, their thickness in order to adjust their scale relative to the scale of the sheet.
Another new feature of these flows is distinct thickened 'lip' around the edges which is a feature in all actual liquid flows. But until now, we could only get this by not quite real looking post process methods.
How do you make SO MANY particles???
When i put 15K (15.000) it is about 10 seconds per frame...at least...
