I am entitled to my opinion, remember that while reading my comment.

Personally, I almost always prefer the original because to think that the artist created something amazing and was willing to share the chance to sing the song with other artists deserves the original artist the most utmost respect.

But, whilst this song was made beautifully by the original artist...I have never heard a more amazing cover. Props to Mariana's Trench for making this song even more amazing.

@TheCreepahFace True he recorded himself singing multiple parts, but that track did not go unedited. I can tell you from recording experience that they used Melodyne or Antares to process those vocals. Great song, but that track is heavily edited. Additionally, the dynamic contrast in part was him, but he definitely had the aid of a good volume adjustment too.

1. Saying the original is better are close minded assholes. It's like saying oh boo, Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix is better than John Mayer's. NO SHIT, it's the fucking original! These artists are paying HOMAGE to the original by doing a cover. Ever heard of "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"? Yeah, get your heads out of your asses.
