These are FWD & have a 5.3L LS4 V8 making 303hp, mated to a 4 Speed Auto.

The 2006 & Newer Chevrolet Impala SS is essentially the same setup.

my bro has the same car and color but his is a 2006 how fast u had it up to?

@jpb853 This was at auction. The car limits revs at 3500 RPM while in park so I can say anymore than that

why is the rev limiter at 3,500 for the v8 and 4,300 for the v6?

@BeeABaw I guess GM does it for $h!t$ & giggles :P No clue to be honest but I'm sure they have their reasons. I must say that these cars dont have the best of trannys & my best guess is this more powerful engine wont screw the torque converter which is a common thing to fail in these too.

@crammage ehhhh. yes and no. im 19. i love my gxp. it just depends if the kid is paying for it or if mommy and daddy are. because if the parents are they tend to beat on their cars like no tomorrow. i baby mine : )
