Extraordinarily well documented, "VMF 64" is the most successful of the three early Team DB2 Sports Saloons with a storied competition career that included three Mille Miglias and two Le Mans 24-hour races, one of which it finished third overall. It was used by Aston Martin Chairman David Brown as his personal transport at various points in the 1950s. After conversion to road specification, it was sold to Browns friend, the Hon. Gerald Lascelles, and after 53-year ownership in the same family, VMF 64 is undoubtedly the most significant and original Aston Martin Factory Team Car ever to be offered at auction. VMF 64 will go across the block this October 28th in London, England at the Automobiles of London auction.
