I remixed to bring the lead a bit further to the front.

A cover of a Little Richard song. Although John played the first solo in live performances, my research indicates that George played both for the studio version. I eliminated the second verse. The mix was so heavily compressed that it was difficult to tell which guitar was which.
My videos are really intended for accomplished guitarists who want to polish up their Beatles repertoire and can benefit from "seeing" how a song is played. If the various chords that I am playing are not familiar to you then I would suggest that you visit some of the many free guitar chord sites. I had to learn these songs by listening to vinyl records and watching live performances on tv.

  • Where do you learn this stuff?

  • @141natedogg Ears and eyes. I started by wearing out vinyl records. Playing in a band teaches you a lot about different techniques. Watching live performances gives you an idea of the technique of particular players (the Beatles for example). It takes a lot of patience, practice and a good ear.

  • Do you play all these by ear?

  • @MrMattnethan Thanx for your comment. I originally learned guitar with a large chord book and by wearing out vinyl records. I took it to another level when I started playing in bands - observing what others do. So yes, I do play by ear. Watching performances on TV, film and now video help me to verify chord voicings and specific neck/string positions for solos/riffs.

  • Good job, man!!! It sounds amazing, just the lesson I needed!! Thanks for sharing! A big hug from Viña del Mar, Chile!

  • Thank you for making these films! You have helped me a lot! Is there any chance you can make other "tutorials" than The Beatles (love 'em)? Like The Searchers, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Zombies, The Kinks etc. ?
