  • this test has one MAJOR flaw, its being done at 14,000ft. ask anyone with knowledge of engine workings, engines with turbos work MUCH better at higher elevations than do naturally aspirated engines. the weight of the cars are all very near each other, the only car with a chance is the maserati because it has the most powerful V8 while the others have similar engine ratings as the Lincoln

  • I would... It looks like it's sponsored by Lincoln, soo...

The Lincoln weighs about 4400 lbs, no where near 5000. It doesn't have a 3.7TT either. And at such a high elevation, a forced inducted engine has a major advantage. It was pretty biased.

  • its not too biased actually, that Lincoln is almost 5000 lbs and its has to power all 4 wheels, with an economy built 3.7L TT V6.

  • I seen this on TV the lincoln came in second. The BMW came in first. 3rd was the benz 4th the jag and 5th surprisingly was the meserati

  • ya at 12000 feet the linkon would win it has two turbos. at see level the v8s would own

  • it seems fake...!

  • American moto journalism. Just wow.

  • ...i have not watched the rest of these videos yet... but this sure looks like american car co. propaganda, lol, how transparently biased....

but who knows, i might be wrong...

  • Gotta love all those no name people talking like they're professionals. Yeah, we buy that stuff.

  • haha this test is pretty fair. naturally aspirated engines have a hard time breathing at high altitudes. turbo/super charged engines easily dominate comparably powered naturally aspirated counterparts.

Now, if they did this test on some twisty / mountain / canyon roads at or closer to sea level, the Lincoln would've probably been 5th or maybe 4th.

  • Shame on you Motor Trend for such a bias comparison.
