New Jersey Motorsports Park ( NJMP ) September 2009 - 100cc Controlled 2 cycle ( stroke ) Enduro Laydown Karts. IAME Reed valve engines (Parilla mostly) competing in a 45 minute timed endurance race. Typical American go-kart road racing (longer road race circuits) is of this style. A standing Lemans style start backed against the pit lane wall (or front straight wall) lined up diagonally. Laydown classes run 45 minute events as opposed to other style classes which run 30 or 20 minutes. Enduros have more space to carry more fuel, and are covered by an aerodynamic body usually made of fiberglass, carbon fiber or aluminum. This was a WKA ( World Karting Association ) national event.
