@3PointsOfContact - for the same reasons sane people would read anything else realistic and sane about the environment and people's role in it.
which 'socialist actions' do you consider to have ruined nature and built an unsustainable economy? as by doing that they automatcially haven't done what is outlined in Das Kapital.

@bridgecdngy Actually, it's the naysayers of Marx and Engels that weren't heeded. Not heeding Marx and Engels in Stalinist Russia (or even appearing to do so) got you thrown into a slave labour camp, where you were worked to death.
It's the greedy, parasitic few who always come up with reasons to expropriate the wealth created by business entrepreneurs and their employees. We've already seen what they've done to Eastern Europe. Why should we give these avaricious Marxist criminals another go?
