  • @Vascopim Was Duke Ellington also at this concert?

  • omg, again, god exists...

  • Sarah Vaughan, singing a Monk tune, can it get any better than that? . . . I don't think so

  • @lromfried "My wife and I saw Sarah at Carnegie Hall many years ago and during one of those lush ballads there was total silence in the audience until she hit one of those unbelievable notes and all you could then hear were sighs from all over the hall. "

I'm so dang jealous! She died when I was a kid. :(

  • classically dopE!!!

  • My favorite singer and favorite song! My wife and I saw Sarah at Carnegie Hall many years ago and during one of those lush ballads there was total silence in the audience until she hit one of those unbelievable notes and all you could then hear were sighs from all over the hall.

  • I love Sarah and youtube for all the fabulous material!

  • incredible.

  • What a concert... I was 16 then & I was there! I remember not believing my eyes when I noticed McCoy Tyner was standing right in front of me... not missing one note of the whole concert! He came on next and blew the house down with his "Walk Spirit, Talk Spirit" tornado...
