I hate hurricanes, they scare me to death. I live about 100 miles from the coast, but Conroe got tore up during Ike. Distance just doesn't seem to matter that much in a storm that size. It caused destruction in OHIO.

I remember this just like it was yesterday.....and the sad thing is it's almost hurricane season again... I think this is gonna be a bad year for the gulf coast......be prepared everyone.......

sure looks different yesterday than today! You should update this. Now the water surge is about 20ft high and washing over the seawall.
