@dikkekeesje if you get adobe premiere elements 8 (EXACTLY the same as premire pro) it can hold mpeg files, thats why i got it

How did u capture it from the hv30? I can't capture with premiere pro cs4, it says it's not activated. And if I capture with hdv split, after effects won't import the mpeg files.

I used the PAL version of the HV30 so didnt need to do any of the pulldown stuff that NTSC users need to do. I simply loaded Premiere CS4, choose HDV 25p and captured. If you goto hv20 . com, it should have all the info you need to capture from the HV series cams.

Was a crappy mic from the uni which failed half way through shooting, so the oncamera microphone from the HV30 was used.
