for an ipod it could only find where you at when you have internet connection. It only work for the iphone.

does it work with an ipod touch or does it have to be an iphone, because whenever i hit the gps button it says "your location could not be determined".

you can use wifi and edge for the gps to work either of this network will work , these gps using wifi is not accurate edge is better

no, but the two networks are spotty ( Edge and 3G) It makes for a totally inefficient driving/navigating

This is the 1st generation iPhone. IT does not have a GPS inside. What you are seeing is triangulation, and that has an accuracy to within around 3km, and DOES NOT require a clear view of the sky.
