McKynzee's Story: A Victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome

**UPDATE** February 2010
The State has officially closed the case against McKynzee's father due to his mental incompetency to stand trial. Therefore, he will never spend any time in jail or face any consequences whatsoever. We are deeply saddened and angered about this, however, we will do our best to move on and focus on caring for McKynzee. Thank you all for all of your positive and uplifting comments and prayers for McKynzee and her family. We truly truly appreciate it.

McKynzee Goin is the daughter of my best friend, Callee Goin. I made this video to help raise awareness of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Child Abuse. I was inspired by Callee's courageous decision to tell her story to local high school students.

Thank you for watching, and please feel free to share. There are so many people out there that don't know the dangers of shaking a baby...even a small shake can cause irreversible damage. Tell as many people as you can about SBS.

God bless you Mckynzee and mom. It angers me that this even happened to begin with. I pray that the Lord will give you the strength for you and your child-your very beautiful child. Attn.... theres a death metal band in Colorado called Angelic Desolation that has a song called "Shake the baby" as well as others like Jesus Punchers and watch your daughter die.... help spread the word!!! LIKE THIS IF YOU WANT TO STOP THEM FROM MAKING LITTLE OF SUCH A TERRIBLE THING!

this is so sad, that man should be jailed immediately without possibility of bail.

This impacts me very deeply because my grandparents have neighbours that they are very good friends with, and those neighbours had a son named angus who passed away due to being shaken. He passed away at twenty four just last year. Good luck mckynzee, your very brave and strong. R.i.P angus.

So tragic! God bless this child and her Mother! The father should be in prison! Is he at least in a mental institution? It was said he was deemed mentally ill, yes? He should not be out because of the chance he could do this again! :/
