The 8.65 ( 9.30 for the service industry ) pay rate is based on an illusion! and a scam. It should never have got that high in the first place. another Grossly irresponsible government knee jerk reaction to a falsely prosperous nation. If a Minister who makes over 100k a year tells people on social welfare, the elderly, low income familes, the disabled they have to tighten their belt, there is something wrong in this country. If you look across the board, theose who dont have much are being made to pay much more than those who do have a lot.And its THAT which seriously aggrevates people. Granted - breaking through a Garda line isnt a smart thing to do, but people do get fed up of being handled like they are puppets.

@jonconlon Ireland has jut been sold out to the IMF. This event is so major, I don't think a lot of people truly understand what has just happened. Unpayable debt. Ireland has just been conquered as a sovereign country. Vanquished. The country, and it's it's contents no longer belong to the people of Ireland.

There will be far worse than the trouble you see here in the streets in the upcoming years.
