Opening part of Arkat A Lawanen or Beloved Lawanen featuring the Sining Kambayoka Ensemble of Mindanao State University with Sunnie Noel as Artistic Director... Arkat-A Lawanen is one of the books in Darangen an epic of the Maranao people that is listed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This video was taken during the Matinee performance on Saturday Feb 28 at the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino CCP Little theater that was sponsored by the MSUans of Metro Manila Inc. in cooperation with the MSU Alumni Association Inc. The whole performance lasted for close to 100 minutes.. This is the first of ten 10 minutes Youttube postings.
