Collette (Colin) the Baby Whale lost its mom in Pittwater - Sydney

Colin (Collette)the Baby Whale lost its mother and came to Pittwater, Sydney Australia. After days of media exposure and no solutions on how to save baby Colin (Collette) the whale adopted a sailing boat as its mum, she was lost in one of Australias most beautiful bays "The Basin" in Pittwater in the heart of ku-ring-gai National Park.
The authorities had no answers!!!!
They decided to put the baby whale "Colette" to sleep.....

i will say what i mean coz u people are so biased and cannot not see the other side of it. on all those animal shows when they CAN'T save a dog they put it down, we couldnt save the whale we put it down. And you wan't to put a memroial up for it... thats as bout a usefull as eating my shit?

Young collette / collin suffered because we as humans let it suffer by NOT FEEDING IT! It was just too easy to use leathal injection as a selection,milk feeding was the so-called harder option,harder because of the cost factor,what a joke!

We can send a man to the moon, travel by explosions, send books of information in seconds, reconstruct DNA, see millions of years in the past but we can not feed a hungry mammal, looking for our help probably, her mother probably didnt have a chance to instill a weariness of humans, and rightly so, we killed her cause it was humane? please.

We have no real right to destroy an animal because we want to assume its predicament and pain, being dragged to land and then killed slowly, aint the way.

@mrbooyeah ... mostly ture what u said but Collette's mom returned a few days after the calf got slaughtered. ofcourse no one knows for sure why mother and baby got separated.

@yawalad mothers wont leave the baby whales side , if mum and calf are seperated mum will breach until she finds her baby ... mum was obviously dead or she would be by her side ... sad but true ... seen over 1000 baby mums and calves while working as a whale watch tour guide for last 8yrs .. if mum wasnt there she would be dead ... sorry

to all you people who have no idea ... the right thing was done by putting this baby whale down ... baby humpback whales drink up to 800 litres of 30 to 40 % fat rich milk a day .. how do you suggest this to be done ... ?? 2nd .. how do you expect a baby whale to migrate by itself to antartica ??? ive worked on a whale watch boat last 8 yrs and i can tell you right now nothing could be done for this baby and woulda been shark food within a week , so before ya stupid comments look into the facts

well i blamed both them and the protesters. Cause protesters did not donate all they do is scream and send angry letters. the protesters are stupid for not sending in any money to begin with. Cause to help something or someone you need money first. cause resources are costly and feeding them will be a daily trip to antartica
