Hi Davie, Love the videos!! People have even started buying my flies and asking where I learnt how to tie! Just wondering could you do a video on dying the different materials. This would greatly help me due to the fact I am having difficulty finding the right colours in shops! Thanks

Hi TheDarzea,

I spent an afternoon filming myself dying a cape and when I looked at the footage all I could see was my hand in front of the lens for most of the video, as I had no help I couldn't see how it looked until I had fininshed and the worst thing about it was the cape had turned out perfect.. I will try again as I have been asked a few times if I could do this..

Well done on the tying as that was all down to you practicing to make your flies look the best..

Hi John,

I have never had any bother with having to put an inner tube in the Bottle Necks Tubes but there's many making them now so just check to see if they are nice and smooth inside.

hi dave,

im a great fan of your tying and videos,i ve fished a river called the finn river in co. donegal ireland since i was a child to the best of my knowledge there is no fly called after this river unfortunately this river is but a shadow of its former self with talks of closure and its still being poached, i was wondering would you like to tie up something we could call a finn fly before this once majestic river is gone maybe a shrinp fly lets look after our rivers guys. thanks again dave

Hi Kendo,

It's not a red but a strong hot orange, it's a variant of the Junction Shrimp tyed just the same way as the Dee Monkey.
