That is true but its only partially true. If the City and State government fail to act, who is next in line to assist???
Doesn't matter who is running the country. We as americans should not ever be portrayed as a "third world" country in times of peril! The richest county in the world! There is no excuse for any of it. There are "National Disaster areas" declared by the Pres nearly every year or every other year. Never does it take so long for action.

That project is federaly mandated and president Bush set aside way more money for the levee work than did Bill Clinton! Nobody brings that up! We need all the info from you guys, not slanted, edited agenda driven stories! your becoming an embarrasment to this country!

It's still not the same. You'd have to be from New Orleans to understand. Unless you are....then your talking nonsense.

Of COURSE it's not the same. Inland would be SAFER... that's the WHOLE POINT. The mayor of New Orleans recently admitted that the crime rate there was "abysmal". Between that and the risk of drowning, I have NO interest in being there. I do like jazz, though... and jazz HAS spread to much nicer places than New Orleans.
